Purpose

Applied project management is a concentrated basic training that gives you a holistic view of project work. We cover both agile and traditional working methods. Focus is on the project manager role, highlighting simple and practical tools that you can use directly at work. The entire project workflow is covered, from concept to utilization, with particular emphasis on the preparation phase.

Course objectives

After the training you have:

  • an understanding of modern project management and how it can be applied in different situations.
  • practical and simple methods for managing projects, or for using the project format in your daily work.
  • an understanding of the roles, division of responsibilities and interactions in the project organizations.
  • more confidence in your role as a project manager.

Format

The course focuses on skills training and includes lectures, group tasks, exercises and discussions. To increase the learning it is set-up with individual work before and after the training days. We use real projects that you are invited to bring to the course.

Target group

Everyone who works with development or renewal. Current or future project managers, subproject managers and line managers.

Scope

3 hours pre-work, three full training days, 8 hours follow-up work. In total 35 hours.

Certified

This course provides contact hours as well as PDU points för PMI.
The training is IPMA Training Course Registered.
